What it does
Changelog asks GitHub once a day for the latest release of each project whose own repository is linked from its official site, and shows the tag and date.
What it collects
- Newest published release: tag, date and link
- When a repository has no published release, the newest tag instead, marked as a tag
Sources
Method
- Only repositories that are linked from the project's official site or named in its official address are tracked.
- Requests go to the public GitHub REST API with the user agent shown on this page.
- On a request error the previous entry for that project is kept.
Limits and caveats
- A release date says when the code was published, not whether it is safe or suitable for anything.
- Projects without a public repository, or with releases published elsewhere, are not covered.
- If a release is older than 12 months, the page says so in neutral words.
